ZotShelf connects to your Zotero account in order to display and manage your library. This means your Zotero credentials (or API key) and library data are sent directly to Zotero’s servers to authenticate and sync your content — ZotShelf does not have its own servers and does not see or store this data separately. This exchange is governed by Zotero’s own privacy policy.
Any data ZotShelf handles locally (such as cached library info for display) stays on your device.
